How Does The Junior Trade-Up Program Work?
Trade Up Program Explained
Year 1: Buy affordable new or used gear for your child from us. For the first year, pay full price, typically $129-$199.
Year 2: Trade in last year's gear for new sizes. Choose from our selection for just $59.99 (used) or $99.99 (new).
Year 3 & Beyond: Rinse & repeat. Trade in your child’s gear every year while they’re in kids' or junior sizes. Size up for free during the season if they grow out of their gear.
Growth Spurt Mid-Season?
Not a problem. Bring back your purchased boots for a free size exchange if they no longer fit.

Sometimes you can squeeze one more season out of the gear or maybe you've got another child that fits the gear. If that's the case, it's just $39.99 before trading up.

At Rocky Mountain Ski, our Junior Trade-Up Program is built to make it easy and affordable to keep your child in properly fitting ski or snowboard equipment as they grow. Designed for kids ages 3–13, the program allows families to start with high-quality new or gently used gear and trade up to larger sizes each season without having to repurchase equipment at full price. Instead of outgrowing gear every winter, your child can move confidently into the next size while you enjoy significant savings year after year.
Gear For The Whole Season
After the first season, simply return the equipment and select the next size up, paying only a low annual trade-up fee. We also understand that growth spurts don’t always wait for next season — which is why we offer free in-season boot size exchanges to keep kids comfortable and performing their best. It’s a smart, flexible, and sustainable way to support young skiers and riders while giving families peace of mind all winter long.
