Rent stand-up paddle boards and kayaks from Rocky Mountain Ski + Sport in Colorado Springs! We are the only rental shop in Colorado Springs that offers durable, fully inflatable SUP’s and kayaks. Super easy to transport and amazingly lightweight for your day on the water. No special rooftop rack needed – our iSUP’s and kayaks will fit right in the backseat of your car!

What counts as a 1-day rental? When you rent from us, a 1-day rental is 24 hours, so you can pick-up the gear anytime you prefer when we’re open, and then it needs to returned at or before that time the following day. We don’t offer half day rentals at this time.

Are inflatable SUP’s and Kayaks as good as hard-shell models? Yes, in many ways, inflatable kayaks and SUP’s are better than hard-shell kayaks and paddle boards. Our stand-up paddle boards and kayaks are a great option for recreational paddlers who value portability, versatility, and affordability. They are easy to transport, incredibly rigid once inflated, track predictably in the water and are lightweight, making them ideal for those that want simplicity and enjoyment from their day on the water. While inflatables aren’t quite as fast or efficient as hard-shell kayaks and SUP’s, they’re a near perfect choice for paddlers in the Colorado Springs area who are out on reservoirs, ponds, lakes and rivers and aren’t as concerned about distance travelled or speed on the water.

What are some recommendations of places to paddle near Colorado Springs? For a chill, serene day on the water, we recommend taking your kayak or stand-up paddle board to Catamount Reservoir (30 minute drive), Rampant Reservoir (40 minute drive), or Eleven Mile Reservoir (1 hour drive). For some spots within Colorado Springs city limits and within a 15 minute drive from our shop, we recommend Prospect Lake or Quail Lake. For a river paddle experience, the Arkansas River has several put in and take out spots between Pueblo Reservoir and west of Pueblo (always check flow and depth levels!).
