FAQ section
Frequently Asked Questions
What’s included in my rental?
Adult ski packages include skis, boots, and poles. Kids ski packages include skis and boots, with ski poles available as an optional add-on for an additional cost.
Snowboard packages include a snowboard, bindings, and boots.
Our team will select equipment based on the sizing, ability level, and skier or rider information you provide when placing your reservation.
How long can I keep my equipment?
Your equipment is yours for the entire winter season! Once your rental arrives, keep it and use it as often as you'd like until April 20th, 2027. No returning equipment between trips or heading back to the rental counter every time you want to get on the mountain.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON'T RETURN MY RENTAL ON TIME?
Season rental equipment must be shipped back by April 20th, 2027, using the prepaid return label provided by Rocky Mountain Ski + Sport.
Rentals returned after the deadline may be subject to late fees. If you know you will not be able to return your equipment on time, please contact us before the deadline so we can discuss your options.
Equipment that is not returned or remains significantly overdue may be charged up to the replacement value of the rental equipment.
Where do you ship?
Shipped season rentals are currently available within the contiguous United States. We do not currently ship season rental equipment to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, P.O. boxes, or international addresses.
Availability may be limited for certain locations based on carrier service and shipping restrictions.
My kids grew out of their rental gear
We know kids don't always cooperate with our rental calendar! If your child outgrows their equipment during the season, contact us and we'll help determine what size they need next. Size exchanges are available based on inventory.
For shipped rentals, customers are responsible for the shipping costs associated with exchanging equipment during the season.
How much is shipping?
Round-trip shipping is a flat $69 and is paid in advance with your rental. This covers shipping your equipment to you as well as a prepaid return shipping label to send your equipment back to Rocky Mountain Ski + Sport at the end of the season.
Additional shipping required for exchanges or other customer-requested shipments is not included in the $69 round-trip shipping fee.
How do I return my equipment?
Keep the original box and packing materials your rental arrives in! At the end of the season, pack your equipment securely back into the original packaging, attach the prepaid return label we provide, and drop the package off with the designated shipping carrier.
Customers are responsible for properly packing and returning their equipment by the season rental return deadline.
Can I exchange a size?
Yes! Size exchanges are available based on current inventory. Contact us before sending any equipment back so our team can help determine the appropriate replacement and confirm availability.
Customers are responsible for shipping costs associated with exchanges for shipped season rentals.
What happens if my boots don’t fit?
Contact us as soon as possible. We'll work with you to determine whether a different size may provide a better fit and, when inventory allows, arrange an exchange.
Because shipped rentals are fitted using the sizing information provided during your reservation rather than an in-person fitting, customers are responsible for the additional shipping costs associated with fit or size exchanges.
What happens if equipment is damaged?
A seasonal damage waiver is available to add on to your rental for $30. Normal wear from skiing and snowboarding is expected. If your equipment is damaged during the season, stop using the affected equipment and contact us so our team can determine the best next step.
Damage caused by misuse, negligence, loss, theft, or use outside the equipment's intended purpose may result in additional charges. Customers are responsible for their rental equipment until it has been returned to and received by Rocky Mountain Ski + Sport.
