- Improved Walking Mobility: The combination of walk mode and GripWalk soles makes getting around parking lots, lodges, and base areas more comfortable.
- All-Mountain Versatility: Well suited for groomed runs, lessons, and general recreational resort skiing.
- Progression Friendly: The moderate flex provides enough forgiveness for developing technique without feeling excessively soft as the skier improves.
Performance
The Salomon Quest Access R80 is designed around comfort, mobility, and predictable all-mountain performance.
The 80 flex sits in an approachable range for recreational skiers. It allows developing skiers to flex naturally into the front of the boot while providing enough resistance and support for improved control as their technique progresses.
One of the biggest advantages of the Quest Access platform is its mobility away from the skis. The walk mechanism allows the cuff to move more freely when released, while the GripWalk soles provide improved traction and a more natural walking position compared with traditional flat alpine soles.
Once switched back into ski mode, the cuff provides the support needed for confident downhill skiing.
Who Is It For?
The 2022 Salomon Quest Access R80 GripWalk is best suited for beginner to intermediate skiers who prioritize comfort and want a versatile boot for everyday resort skiing.
It's particularly well suited for recreational skiers who want an easier walking experience around the resort without giving up the support of a traditional alpine-style ski boot.
For skiers looking for moderate flex, a roomier fit, walk-mode convenience, and GripWalk traction, the Quest Access R80 is a versatile option.
Important Note:
These are used ski boots, and cosmetic condition will vary between individual pairs. Expect normal signs of previous use including scratches, scuffs, sole wear, and cosmetic wear on the shells. Liners may also show normal wear from previous use. Buckles, shells, GripWalk soles, walk mechanisms, and other critical components are inspected for safety and functionality before the boots are offered for sale.
Exact colors, graphics, liner details, boot sole length, and other specifications can vary by size or production version. Photos of the exact pair are available upon request.
These boots use GripWalk soles and require GripWalk-compatible ski bindings. They should not be used with bindings that are not approved for GripWalk boots. Binding compatibility should always be verified before use, and bindings must be professionally adjusted and tested for the skier and specific boots.
