Performance
The Atomic Maven 86 is designed to provide balanced all-mountain performance without feeling excessively demanding.
At 86mm underfoot, it sits in a versatile middle ground. It's narrow enough to remain responsive when carving groomed runs but wide enough to provide additional confidence when the snow becomes softer, chopped up, or inconsistent.
Atomic's Flow Profile combines rocker with camber to give the ski a smooth feel through the entire turn. The rockered tip helps with turn initiation and maneuverability, while camber underfoot maintains edge engagement and control on firmer snow. Rocker toward the tail makes it easier to release the ski when navigating bumps, trees, or tighter terrain.
Compared with heavier and more aggressive all-mountain skis, the Maven 86 emphasizes a lighter and more intuitive feel. This makes it a particularly versatile choice for skiers who want good performance without having to constantly drive the ski aggressively.
Who Is It For?
The 2024 Atomic Maven 86 is best suited for intermediate to advanced women skiers looking for a versatile everyday resort ski.
It's particularly well suited for skiers who enjoy a combination of groomers, bumps, trees, softer snow, and variable all-mountain conditions.
For women who want something more versatile than a narrow frontside ski but don't need the additional width of a dedicated freeride or powder ski, the Maven 86 provides an excellent balance.
Important Note:
These are used skis, and cosmetic condition will vary between individual pairs. Expect normal signs of previous use including topsheet scratches, scuffs, chips, base wear, previous base repairs, and edge wear. Each pair is inspected for safety and functionality before being offered for sale.
Our used skis are not freshly tuned or waxed unless specifically stated. A professional ski tune and wax is available as an add-on if you would like the skis serviced before use.
Bindings are included, but binding model and specifications may vary by individual pair. Bindings must be compatible with the skier's ski boots and professionally adjusted and tested for the individual skier before use.
